This blog was created by Jackson, a transportation research scientist with a thing for maps, the planet, and geospatial data. He received his degree in Government from University of Texas-Austin and currently resides in Austin, Texas. Jackson is an avid cyclist and his interest in urban planning began with his employment with the bicycle program at the University of Texas. With his background in political science, he found that urban planning combined his academic interests with his love for bicycle and alternative transportation advocacy.

While he has no set plans on precisely where or when he will be going to study urban planning, he is eyeing Berkeley, University of Texas-Austin, University of Illinois-Chicago, and Rutger’s University and is shooting for 2015 as a start date. He plans to specialize in transportation planning.
